Part I - The Building

An Overview Of The Lisburne Place Town House

The property is part of a development of town houses and apartments built in 20001

The house is arranged over three floors.

There are two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor. This bathroom has a bath and shower over.

there is a bedroom and ensuite on the second floor.

There are no elevators in the building.


Buses in Torquay

Getting to Lisburne Place

  • Torquay’s mainline railway station is approx 1 mile away. Most train journeys will involve a change at either Exeter or Newton Abbot although there are a limited number of direct trains each day. There is a taxi rank at the station which has taxis available whilst train services operate. Most services are operated by Great Western Railways.
  • The coach station is approx 1.25 miles away. There are numerous coach services from a number of different places. Services are largely operated by National Express. Taxis are available from the coach station.
  • The nearest bus stop is less than 100 yards away on Babbacombe Road. Frequent bus services run to and from Babbacombe and St Marychurch as well as Teignmouth and Dawlish. These services are operated by Stagecoach
  • There is an excellent high frequency bus service to other parts of  our Bay area and bus services link up to other towns such as Totnes, Exeter and Plymouth. Services are generally operated by Stagecoach. These are  accessed via stops on the harbourside which is 500 yards from Lisburne Place.
  • Local taxis are plentiful. Special access taxis can also be arranged. Our taxi drivers are happy to meet the needs of passenger with special requirements and even short journeys are not a problem. Please click here for further transport information.

Arrival and parking facilities

  • The property has its own garage parking which is located at the rear of the property through electric gates.
  • A key pad gives access to this parking. The surface of the car park is block paved and flat and there is lighting at night.
  • Additional spaces are available on the road nearby. Some of this parking is subject to restrictions and/or charges.
  • The garage is 205cm wide and 200cm high. Cars will generally have to park the rear of the car in the garage.
  • From the car parking there is a single step to the rear courtyard of the property and the back door.
  • The main entrance at the front of the property has two steps up to the front door.
  • We meet guests upon arrival and hand over keys. We can assist with luggage.

  • From the car park at the rear entry is via a back door with yale lock.
  • The rear of the property is lit at night.
  • The main entrance at the fornt of the property has two steps up.
  • The front of the property is lit by street lighting.
  • There are double yellow lines immediately outside the property.. 


Lisburne Place Details

  • The width of the front door into the property is approx 83cm and subsequent doorways are 78cm
  • There is wooden flooriing throughout the ground floor. There is level access between kitchen and living room.
  • There is a downstairs cloakroom.
  • There is a staircase up to the first floor. There are seven stairs and then a quarter turn of three stairs. The stairs are carpeted.
  • On the first floor are two bedrooms. One is a double and one is a twin with two single beds. The rooms are carpeted.
  • There is a family bathroom with bath and shower over. The floor is tiled.
  • There is a carpeted hallway and further stairs up to the second floor. There are seven stairs and a quarter turn with three stairs..
  • On the second floor is the main bedroom with a King sized bed. This room is capreted. There is an esnuite with shower. This room is tiled.
  • From the kitchen there is access to a private courtyard. There is no step. The door is 75cm wide.
  • The private courtyard is paved and has seating. There is a gate leading to the communal courtyard and parking.
  • The property has gas central heating which guests can control via a thermostat in the hallway.

For Guests With Mobility Restrictions

  • We are happy to assist with luggage on arrival and departure.
  • From Shop Mobility we can obtain mobility aids such as wheel chairs or scooters. (There is normally a small charge for the use of these.). 
  • We can direct guests to approriate access information for places to visit or for eating etc.


For Guests With Visual Impairments   

  • We have good colour contrasting in our fixtures and fittings of our rooms.
  • We Have good lighting.
  • We Can offer large print copies of our own materials.


For Guests with Hearing Impairments

  • We ensure that we speak clearly to help guests lip read.
  • We can direct the guest to written information
  • We have teletext and subtitles on our TVs


For Guests With Families

  • The property has three bedrooms.
  • The main bedroom has a king sized bed.
  • The second bedroom  has a standard double bed
  • The third bedroom has two singles. 


For Guests With Bronchitis and Breathing Difficulties

  • We use non feather bedding as standard.
  • We maintain high standards of cleaning in the rooms and have regular scheduled deep cleans.
  • The property is non smoking throughout.


For Guests With Food Allergies Or Special Diets

We are happy to make provision for guests with allergies or special diets and can arrange for food to be delivered in advance of our guests’ arrival.


For Guests With Assistance Dogs

We can accommodate dogs in the property .We do not make any additional charge for official assistance dogs. 


For Guests With Other Specific Requirments

We are able to make some adaptations to rooms to accommodate special equipment. For example we have adapted rooms to accommodate portable dialysis units and have stored fluid for guests in advance of arrival.
